International Military Students Embrace Southwestern Culture
Sept. 16, 2024 - On Saturday, Sept. 7 international students from the Sergeants Major Course Class 75 joined together at the Lee Blvd. Ballroom to socialize and immerse themselves in the Southwestern culture. While attending the Sergeants Major Academy (SGM-A) international students have the opportunity to learn about American history, culture and government through scheduled trips around the city and country each school year.

Sept. 4, 2024 - On August 26-27, the Fort Bliss, Texas Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) conducted map reading training in a classroom environment that concluded with a hands-on practical night and day land navigation course at training site, Forward Operating Base Freedom. Since the Basic Leader Course (BLC) reintroduced land navigation back into the program of instruction (POI), BLC class 009-24 was the first to complete the traditional course without the use of electronic Global Positioning System (GPS) devices.
