Nov. 22, 2024 - Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) Michael Weimer and his wife, Kimberly Weimer visited the NCO Leadership Center of Excellence (NCOLCoE) and the Sergeants Major Academy (SGM-A) on Fort Bliss, Texas from Nov. 18th-19th. The purpose of the visit was to address Sergeants Major Course (SMC) Class 75 students and their spouses about the vital role they each have in contributing to the Army mission, as well as supporting our sister services, allies and partners around the world.

Nov. 12, 2024 - In a pre-emptive effort to vaccinate all 38,000 Soldiers and Army Civilian Professionals (ACPs) on Fort Bliss from the flu, William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) dispatched a team to administer around 600 vaccines at the NCO Leadership Center of Excellence (NCOLCoE) and Sergeants Major Academy (SGM-A) from Nov. 4th to 5th. The team also visited the Fort Bliss NCO Academy later in the week where they administered another 50 vaccines.

Oct. 28, 2024 - On the evening of October 25, the Sergeants Major Academy (SGM-A) campus was filled with superheroes and monsters, ready to participate in this year’s trunk-or-treat festivities. Cars were lined up and decorated, volunteers were in costume with trunks filled with sweet treats for all the children who ventured down the rows.

Oct. 17, 2024 - Students at the Sergeants Major Academy attend accredited college level classes for nearly a year. For some of them the workload is easy to cope with and they seek greater challenges. These students may find their needs met with the Ultima Scholars Program, a voluntary program for students of the Sergeants Major Academy.
