About the Henry H. Lind NCOA Quality Assurance Program
The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) for the Henry H. Lind NCO Academy executes the Army QA Program, which ensures Army standards are adhered to at all times during the development, education, and training of Soldiers, Civilians, and leaders. The Quality Assurance NCO (QA NCO) is charged with verifying that all NCOA personnel are complying with required standards, regulations, policies and procedures that govern the conduct of all NCOA courses, identifying errors or shortcomings in course materials and suggesting appropriate changes or improvements to the Proponent, and ensuring that all academy functions fully meet the Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS). These activities directly support the Commandant’s vision of creating an institution of highly trained, adaptive leaders, who epitomize professionalism and ethical standards; supported by an expert staff, charged with developing and implementing facilitator-centric processes designed to provide the expertise and resources necessary to execute the mission and mitigate distractions in the learning environment.
Mission
The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) executes the Army Quality Assurance (QA) Program across the Active Army, Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve through accreditations and assessments to ensure Army standards are achieved in the development, education, and training of Soldiers and civilians while strengthening the U.S. Army's ability to learn, adapt, and innovate.
Risk Management and Internal Controls
At the Henry H. Lind Noncommissioned Officers Academy the QA NCO is assigned the additional duties and responsibilities of supporting the Commandants Risk Management and Internal Control Program (RMIC). RMIC applies to all Army organizations and programs. It affirms inherent responsibility of commanders and managers at all levels to establish and maintain effective internal controls, assess areas of risk, identify and correct weaknesses and keep chain of command informed. Additionally, it provides managers with greater flexibility in their evaluation of internal controls and reporting material weaknesses.
